Nondestructive Test Inspector
Muriel D. Magloire is a Level II Nondestructive Test Inspector currently working in the energy sector. She began her career supporting the U.S. Navy through the Department of Defense before entering into the private sector, with long-term goals of earning multiple Level III certifications and expanding into aerospace — a path inspired by her love for air travel.
A graduate of Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC), Muriel earned her Associate of Applied Science degree in Nondestructive Examination (NDE) Technology in 2020, proudly walking across the stage alongside her son, Aumani. While in school, she served as Chair of the North Carolina Student Section of the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT), and she currently serves as Treasurer of the ASNT Charlotte Section.
Muriel is passionate about leadership, workforce development, and building the future of NDT—one inspection at a time. As a member of ASNT’s Faces of NDT advocacy program, she’s represented the industry at national events like the American School Counselors Association Conference and the Girl Scout Conference. Her writing has been featured in Quality Magazine, Materials Evaluation (2024 Women in NDT edition), the ASNT Pulse blog and more.
In addition to her technical work, Muriel recently completed the ASNT RISE Leadership Development Program and now serves as a mentor in CPCC’s Ruth G. Shaw Leadership Program, helping to guide the next generation of leaders in NDE and beyond.
