Science Spark wants you to be familiar with how we collect, use, and disclose information. This Privacy Policy describes our practices in connection with information we collect through our website at https://usasciencefestival.org/ (“Site”), on our social media pages (such as https://www.facebook.com/usasciencefestival/) (“Social Media Pages”), and in connection with our programs, such as X-STEM All Access, X-STEM Fellowship & Workshops, Spark of STEM Coffee Break Series, and our lesson plan and video libraries ("Programs"). Collectively, we refer to the Sites, Social Media Pages, and Programs as the “Services.”
Personal Information
“Personal Information” is information that identifies you as an individual or relates to an identifiable individual. Personal Information we may collect includes:
- Name
- Title
- Name of school, organization, or company with which you are affiliated
- Email address
- Postal address
- Telephone number
- Age and age range
- Gender
- Ethnicity
- Credit and debit card number
Use of Personal Information
We and our service providers use Personal Information to:
- Register you to receive notifications about our Programs
- Register you to attend our Programs and confirm your attendance at them.
- Register you to exhibit or conduct an activity at our Programs.
- Process your donations.
- Respond to your inquiries and fulfill your requests, such as to provide you with sponsorship information.
- Send administrative information to you, such as changes to our terms, conditions, and policies.
- Send you communications that promote our Programs and organization, including newsletters and surveys.
- Allow you to participate in sweepstakes, contests, and similar promotions and to administer these activities. Some of these activities may have additional rules containing information about how we use and disclose your Personal Information.
- For our internal purposes, such as data analysis, audits, fraud monitoring and prevention, developing new products and services, improving or modifying our Services, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of promotional campaigns, and operating and expanding our activities.
If you submit any Personal Information relating to other people to us in connection with the Services, you represent that you have the authority to do so and to permit us to use the information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Your Personal Information may be disclosed to:
- Volunteers at our Events.
- Our third-party service providers who provide services such as fraud prevention, event security, website hosting, data analysis, payment processing, information technology and related infrastructure provision, email delivery, auditing, and other services.

We may also use and disclose your Personal Information as we believe to be necessary or appropriate:

Collection of Other Information

We use this information to ensure that the Site functions properly.

- IP Address: Your IP Address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer by your Internet Service Provider. An IP Address may be identified and logged automatically in our server log files whenever a user accesses the Site, along with the time of the visit and the pages visited. We use IP Addresses for purposes such as calculating usage levels, diagnosing server problems, and administering the Site. We may also derive your approximate location from your IP Address.

Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Use of the Site by Children
The Site is not directed to individuals under the age of thirteen (13), and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information online from individuals under 13. A parent or guardian registering an individual under 13 to participate in our Services will be required to provide the parent or guardian’s email address for registration purposes. If a child under 13 has provided us with an email address or other personal information without parental or guardian consent, the parent or guardian should contact us at info@usasciencefestival.org. We will remove the information and unsubscribe the child from all of our electronic mailing lists.
Jurisdictional Issues
The Services are controlled and operated by us from the United States and are not intended to subject us to the laws or jurisdiction of any state, country, or territory other than that of the United States.

We may change this Privacy Policy. The “Last Updated” line in the footer of this document indicates when this Privacy Policy was last revised. Any changes will become effective when we post the revised Privacy Policy on the Site. Your use of the Services following these changes means that you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
