Emily Cross has been competing in science fairs since the age of 3 and has already made her mark in some of the most pre-eminent science competitions for young students. In 2016 she was the winning presenter at Sigma Xi´s prestigious Student Research Conference where she received the Sigma Xi High School Geoscience Medal for her research that examined the viability of softening ironstone for use in paleontological research and geological mining endeavors.
