Capt Matthew R. Steiner is a Weather Flight Commander at 56th Operations Support Squadron at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. He’s in charge of all base weather operations and leads a team of 15 people. He and his team make sure all weather reports are accurate, and they support over 30,000 flying hours each year. He joined the U.S. Air Force in June 2018 through Officer Training School and completed the Weather Officer Course in December 2018. He, his wife and his daughter Emma currently live in Evergreen, Colorado.
