Nishita Henry: Using Her Passion for Technology and Business To Help Federal Government Agencies Operate More Efficiently

Nishita Henry is the Federal Technology Practice Leader at Deloitte, an industry-leading firm that provides audit, consulting, tax, and advisory services to businesses in the U.S. and globally.

Nishita runs the division of Deloitte that uses technology to help government agencies run better. In her daily role, she and 3000 Deloitte employees work with clients, some of whom are CIOs, to improve the services that the government provides for citizens.

In her career she’s helped the Bureau of Engraving and Printing become more efficient at printing money, she’s helped the FDA collaborate better with the scientists who develop new medicines, and helped Amtrak launch a new website and mobile app so people can easily buy tickets and see train status. In her previous role as Federal Innovation Leader she worked to make sure Deloitte remains an innovative place for new ideas and technologies.

In all of these roles, Nishita has supported the inclusion of women and underrepresented minorities in technology. She often has said, “When a business reflects the diversity of the population, it best serves agencies and citizens alike.”
