Sgt Jeffrey D. Shields is the current Sustainment and Optical Systems noncommissioned officer at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado. He makes sure that maintenance is conducted and recorded properly for six locations that are supporting critical missions in three different countries. He joined the U.S. Air Force in November 2012 and before that was a full-time college student. He currently lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is married and has three beautiful dogs.
