Girls in STEM: Changing the Belle Curve
Today, women make up only 15-25% of the current STEM workforce. And only 12% of engineers are women. We want to change those numbers and we need your help.
Attend the Girls in STEM: Changing the Belle Curve stage show and hear from two of Abbott’s female STEM superstars – top engineer Corlis Murray and concussion neuroscientist Beth McQuiston.
Corlis and Beth will share their journeys into engineering and science, showcase the life-changing technologies and discoveries they’ve made, and test your STEM knowledge in an interactive game.
These remarkable women will be introduced by Mindy Thomas, co-host of NPR’s Wow in the World podcast, and interviewed by Natalie Chen, 12-year-old reporter for TIME for Kids.
Abbott will award some lucky audience members with prizes, and give everyone the information they need to apply for internships – and become the next generation of STEM superstars
