These guidelines will be provided to you by email as well:
X-STEM workshops should be hands-on, interactive experiences that aim to get kids excited about science!
- Because each workshop is unique, we are happy to schedule a brief prep conversation to answer any questions you have regarding your workshop format and/or topic.
- Workshop presenters will give THREE 60-minute workshops to an audience of approximately 100 middle and high school students (per room - some organizations will be conducting workshops in more than one room).
- Approximate workshop times are: 9:45-10:45am, 11:00am-12:00pm, and 12:50-1:50pm MST. A final schedule will be provided in advance of the event.
- You should plan on allocating the final 5-10 minutes of your workshop to close-out the session so the students are ready to exit, as the transition time between sessions is limited.

Workshop Room Preferences and Requirements
Because each workshop is unique, we will work with you to determine the best room set-up and audio visual components for your room.

Please note that, if needed, we are able to provide basic A/V such as a microphone, screen and projector. Any additional A/V or technology needs such as audio capability, laptops, wired-Internet, additional electricity, etc require additional charges which, as a small non-profit, we may need to pass along to the workshop host. Please discuss these additional needs with us ASAP so we can obtain quotes.

If you plan to project slides onto a screen, plan to bring your own laptop to connect to the projector.

Do you grant permission to the Festival to photograph, videotape, and/or record your X-STEM workshop and make it available to the general public via the Internet?*
Science Spark, a 501(c)(3) non-profit science outreach organization, will photograph, video and audio record X-STEM talks and make them available on our website for non-commercial, educational purposes following the event.

Speakers retain all ownership rights, including copyright, patents, trademarks, and other intellectual property of their content. No additional compensation will be made.
